  Land Shadows Launch Contest: “What Do You See in the Shadows?”

  Thank you for your interest in the Land Shadows launch contest! Please read the following rules carefully before submitting your entry.

  Eligibility

• Open to legal residents of the United States and Canada

• Entrants must be 18 years of age or older

• No purchase is necessary to enter or win

• Void where prohibited by law

  How to Enter

• Create an original interpretation of the Land Shadows book cover

• Your entry may be a short story, poem, essay, visual artwork (painting, digital, photo, collage), or mixed media

• Only one entry per person is allowed

• Submit your entry using the official form at:
  landshadows.com/contest

Prize

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive:

• A signed Advanced Review Copy (ARC) of Land Shadows

• A poster-sized print of the book cover, signed by the author

• A Land Shadows or publisher’s swag bundle

• A featured mention on the Land Shadows website

• Recognition at the American Library Association (ALA) 2025 Conference, at the Open Instructional Narratives booth

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged by the author and editorial team based on:

• Creativity and originality

• Emotional impact

• Connection to the imagery and tone of the Land Shadows cover

Additional Terms

• By submitting an entry, you certify that the work is your original creation.

• You retain full rights to your work. However, by entering the contest, you grant Open Instructional Narratives LLC permission to display, publish, and promote your entry (with full credit) on its website, social media, and in promotional materials.

• Open Instructional Narratives LLC reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these rules.
